Phase 1~ Preparation During this time of waiting and fund raising, we look at it as a time of growth and preparation. We are reading and studying about our new outreach to Bethlehem, Israel. We are gearing everything we think and say in that direction, but we also see God preparing us in special ways.~Minimalist living – Having sold everything and gone down to a tiny home of 20β, it feels at times that we are nomads trekking across the desert already. We look back at why we went to rv life, and originally it was to save money and allow us to travel to raise support, but God is stretching us to see how little we can live without. To be honest, minimalist living suits me. (Most days )
~ Desert Heat
– We have lived in hot places before, but I have never lived in 100+ degree weather with sometimes no air conditioning. The things that creep and crawl in the desert too have made me think what it might have been like in Bible times when the people trekked across the desert. I think that our time in the desert and heat is preparing us just nicely for the Middle East!
~ Language barrier – Arabic is a difficult language. An Arabic pastor just told us it is the 3rd most difficult! I have been learning it for about seven months on Duolingo.
For what itβs worth, Iβm trying. Iβm loving it! Visiting our first Arabic service and singing in Arabic was a huge eye opener. I probably only understood 2%!
βBeing confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.β Phil 1:6
